Weekly Update 25th February 2022
The last week of February was definitely quieter than the other weeks. We needed time to regroup and focus on what was coming next. We were also preparing for our upcoming visits to several Dubai conferences happening next Month. We will give more information about that later. In the meantime, let’s look at some of our updates.
Legion Closing
The Legion Network IDO which started on the 17th of February is now closed. The launch took place on our Sekuritance Portal.
Wizardia Launch
This week, we also partnered up with Wizardia in their Token Launch via TrustSwap. This took place on 22nd February.
Mortgage Brokers and Compliance
For our first blog post, we wanted to shine a spotlight on an industry that has not been typically viewed as a high-risk service when it comes to the subject of money laundering. But, as money-laundering as a practice becomes more and more widespread throughout various countries, more industries are now being targeted and brokers and advisors need to be aware of the growing risks appearing in the mortgage industry. Metaverse and Compliance
Another topic we looked at is why the metaverse needs compliance. Compared to social media, metaverse platforms can and will track users in a much more intimate manner. As avatars develop and become more realistic, companies can monitor physiological responses, vocal inflexions, facial expressions and vital signs, all in real-time. This means that, in the Metaverse, a user will no longer need to proactively provide personal data by opening up their smartphone and accessing their webpage or app of choice. Instead, their data will be gathered in the background while they go about their virtual lives. The depth of this information will help companies gain a deeper understanding of users’ behaviour and patterns, which can be used to tailor marketing in an extremely targeted way.
